The small town of Manchester was disturbed by a shooting incident early morning on a Wednesday.

The shooter, identified as Rick O. Smith, barged into the victims’ home through the back door where five people were killed. The victims consisted of a couple and three children and their grandmother. He later picked up a young girl who was injured and brought her to the neighbor before fleeing away in a white sedan and being killed in a shootout with the cops.

The motives are not clear yet as the Illinois police reported to Yahoo. Several of his neighbors in Roodhouse where he lived  claimed that he was having child custody arguments with his wife whom he has been with for five years and has been in a lot of stress and a probable cause for the rampage.

However, no one could point out his concern for the young girl that was barely spared from the tragedy. The young girl, named Kassidy Ralston, is being treated in the hospital after suffering major facial injuries.

Brad Teeter, the son-in-law of one of the victims, claims that he has never heard of Smith until the shooting happened.

One local resident describes the children who were killed as nice kids who couldn’t be any better. The suspect was later identified as the nephew of Manchester’s local Mayor who said that he hasn’t spoken with the suspect for two years already.

The shooting caused a major blow to the tightly-knit town whose last reported incident of homicide was back in 1993. Several classes were suspended upon learning of the incident.

It also comes in the heels of several major incidents in the US including the bombings in Boston last week and a school shooting in Connecticut in December of last year.

According to NHK, the presence of those 8 Chinese government vessels is the largest since Japan had nationalized the islands September last year.

The Japanese patrollers says that the Chinese vessels enters Senkaku between 7:30 and 8:00am, 3 of those vessels had entered shortly last night and came back with another 5 ships the following morning but the Coast Guard warns them to leave the archipelago.

According to Aljazeera, Japanese and Chinese patrol ships have been playing a cat-and-mouse game near East China Sea, which have been controlled by the Japanese, where China is seeking to assert its claim to sovereignty by sending the government vessels into the disputed waters.

Japanese Prime Minster Shinzo Abe said that the island is under their active control when asked about his thoughts regarding the status of Senkaku Islands.

“Since it has become he Abe government, we have made sure that if there an instance where there is an intrusion into our territory or it seems that there could be landing on the islands then we will deal will it strongly,” he added.

He also vowed to “expel by force” any Chinese landing on the archipelago in the East China Sea.

“We would take decisive action against any attempt to enter territorial waters and to land” on the islands, Shinzo Abe told parliament in response to questions from lawmakers, adding: “We would never allow” a landing.

“It would be natural for us to expel by force if (the Chinese) were to make a landing,” he said.

The Japanese Coast Guard confirmed that there are 2 Chinese patrol vessels navigating outside the island and 9 Japanese fishing boats, which contains the regional lawmakers and members of the foreign media as its passengers according to the reports given.

Japanese ships on the Senkaku Islands are allowed to sail to waters around the islets, but its government generally prohibits landing. Also, the waters in the entire island are rich fishing grounds and have potentially huge oil and gas reserves.

“Don’t let them come on board, but try to avoid fighting or shouting insults. We want to show everyone that we are polite and upstanding Japanese citizens.”, said Mizushima, a right-wing filmmaker in Japan.

The territorial dispute has escalated, where it has come to the point where China and Japan have scrambled fighter jets while patrol ships shadow each other, raising fears that an unintended collision could lead to a broader clash.

Kepler 62-e and Kepler 62-f are said to meet the criteria that make them suiatble for life to flourish

NASA’s Kepler telescope has found three super Earth-sized exoplanets in the Goldilocks Zone also known as “Habitable Zone” which is assumed to be capable of sustaining life.

According to CNN, the United States and South Korea “should immediately stop all their provocative acts against the DPRK and apologize for all of them,” the North Korea’s National Defense Commission said in a statement carried by the official news agency KCNA. DPRK means the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea as the North Korea’s official name.

The UN imposed sanctions on North Korea after conducting the third underground nuclear test on February 12 as the prime trigger for the current crisis on the Korean peninsula, which has seen Pyongyang threaten both the United States and South Korea with nuclear attack.

US and South Korea has offered talks, but on the pre-condition that they lead to North Korea abandoning the ambitions of its nuclear weapons and North Korea has stated that it was merely a “crafty trick”.

According to BBC, the Defense Commission stated, “If the US and the South enemies… genuinely want dialogue and negotiation, they should take these steps. The first step will be withdrawing the UN Security Council resolutions cooked up on ridiculous grounds.”

“Second, you need to tell the whole world that you will not get involved in any rehearsal for a nuclear war that threatens our nation. Dialogues and war games can never go together.” it added.

The dialogue offer of South Korea is a “deceptive artifice” designed to appease public opinion and to hide its responsibility for pushing the peninsula “to a state of war”, according to the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea.

The Nokor’s military commission said U.N. Security Council sanctions, “fabricated with unjust reasons” must be withdrawn.

“They should bear in mind that doing so would be a token of good will towards the DPRK,” it said.

“The denuclearization of the Korean peninsula can begin with the removal of the nuclear war tools dragged in by the U.S. and it can lead to global nuclear disarmament,” it added.

According to Reuters  it was the worst bombing that hits the US soil sincs security was tightened up after the attacks of September 21, 2011. President Barrack Obama promised to chase down whoever responsible for attacks as thousands of spectators packed the street to watch the  world famous event.

No one has been arrested while the White House official said it would have to be determined whether the attack came from a foreign or a domestic source.

Investigators found what could have additional bombs, undetonated explosive devices found around the Boston area, citing two unnamed people briefed on the investigations. The evidence  had yet to be analyzed.

Most of the runners were heading to the finish line when a fireball hits and smoke rose from behind the cheering spectators and a row of flags representing the countries of the participants.

Monday night in US, the death toll had risen to three, one of the dead was an eight-year old boy and at least 141 inviduals are being treated with 17 of them are in critical condition and 25 serious condition, at least eight of the casualties are children.

Some suffered from sharpnel wounds and amputations and will recquire repeat operations in the coming days.

The blasts put police on high alert in major cities across the United states including in Washington D.C. and New York City, sites of September 11 bombings.

Meanwhile, the Boston Symphony Orchestra canceled Monday night’s concert, the National Hockey League’s Boston Bruins also cancelled their home game against the Ottawa Senators and the NBA had to postpone the final home season game of the Boston Celtics due to the tragic event. Prior to the explosions, the Boston Red Sox had completed their Major League Baseball game at the Fenway Arena.

Yesterday, the online boxing community was struck by the news that pound per pound boxing champion Manny Pacquiao sends a bid of goodbye on his athletic career.

In an article published by ProBoxing-Fans.com, Pacquiao released a statement from his home town at General Santos City, Philippines saying “I have Jinkee and the Filipino people to think about now,”

In the past years, Pacman was being advised by his wife and mother to retire. There are also In his most recent fight, he was knocked out by Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez during the sixth round of their non-title welterweight bout.

However, after eight titles from eight different divisions, and two consecutive losses, Pacquiao reiterated that he has no plans to retire anytime soon.

On the other hand, it was reported that he will supposedly have a fight this April but was halted until September to recover from his last fight and to continue his political campaign in the Philippine congress.
